The third NAPCP Retreat was held this April in the gorgeous Charleston, SC! This is the second Retreat I have been a part of and definitely our most ambitious to date. I had the most amazing time helping to plan out the details for each event and working with our amazing team to execute the final look. I also had the opportunity to design some of the pretty letterpress pieces each attendee received including programs, and custom tags, as well as illustrate the cards for our custom Retreat Kits! (Letterpress printing done by the fabulous Farmwood Press; flat printing done by Imagers; kit boxes from Uline)
Each attendee received one of these adorable swag bags when they arrived, along with a Retreat Kit.
We hosted a Welcome Reception the first night at this gorgeous terrace venue attached to our hotel. It had beams over top from end to end that we hong lanterns and mason jars from. The mason jars contained electric tea lights to add a little extra ambiance as it got darker. Our team also created custom floral arrangements for each table with pretty pink peonies and cream roses. All of the stunning party decor was donated by the wonderful folks at Minted! The decor set we used is called Rose Colored Glass and was created by the wonderful Kelli Hall
We also created a custom chalkboard where each attendee’s picture and name were displayed along with the Instagram scavenger hunt assignment for the day
The Farewell Soiree was held the last night and included a dance floor covered in pink and silver balloons, candy jars, yummy drinks and a fringe photobooth backdrop we created with layers of tissue paper.
It was an amazing week and I can’t wait to do it all over again next year! Thank you so much to everyone who made it a memorable and inspirational week. A full recap including our wonderful speakers and sponsors can be found here!
West Elm + Minted!
Recently Minted and West Elm teamed up for a brand new art challenge! I only found time to submit one piece, but I really enjoyed working on the below painting, titled “Wildfire.” I miss painting a lot sometimes and it’s always a good idea to switch up the creative process a little. Minted then asked us to pair our submissions with items from the West Elm site to show customers and voters how we would incorporate our piece in a functional space. If you have a minute head over to the “Inspiration Boards” section on the site and like my board!

Super excited to share the above clip from the Today Show, which features one of my new Baby Shower designs for Minted! The design Sip, Sip, Hooray, can be seen around minute marker 2:30 on the Sip & See display table. The design can be purchased through Minted here! So, so excited for this feature…hopefully many more to come!
So excited to have this project featured on Oh So Beautiful Paper! It is a blog I have followed for a very, very long time and I could not be more excited to have this opportunity. And of course thank you in large part to the wonderful Katie and Matt Carter who let me work with them on these gorgeous invites! I had the absolute best time putting all the pieces together and getting to try edge painting for the first time…something I will certainly be doing more of. They also had a pretty awesome wedding, so you should check out the photos here!
Thank you to all those who helped with this project:

Minted has just launched it’s new collection of Save The Date designs for 2013! I am excited to have 3 new designs included in the collection. The above inspiration board was created featuring one of those designs, Deco Date. The art deco era has always been a source of inspiration to me and a style that I love incorporating into my own work. Strong shapes, bold uses of color, and plenty of glitz and glamour is what that time period was all about! The above design is intended to be a save the date, but this is the type of wedding I imagine it being paired with. You can see all of the new designs here!
Over the past year I have been working with Speck Products to design custom cell phone case designs for seasonal holidays. The above cases were two designs I setup for potential Halloween cases that were sent to me as prototypes. I love the Candyshell cases from Speck! They are gorgeous in person and I was so happy they sent me a couple to see first hand. The printing is vivid and sharp and I love the pop of color on the inside too! The potion case I think has been shelved at the moment, but the Skull case can be purchased here!
Happy Holidays!
Just a few funny outtakes from our holiday photo shoot with the cats! For everyone who thought they were super photogenic…well they have their moments
Also…a look at our holiday card for those who may not have received it yet. Sorry they were so late!
Happy Holidays everyone!

Style Me Pretty Feature!
I was overjoyed to be included in a feature on the wonderful Style Me Pretty site last week! I have been a SMP fan for some time and love what they do for the wedding industry. If you or someone you know is planning a wedding it is definitely a great resource to use. They have links to several of the best vendors for photography, stationery, flowers, cakes, catering, etc. The feature from last week spotlighted 3 designers from Minted (including your truly!) and gave readers a peek into our work spaces. Even Desmond made a brief cameo in the post!
And here are some of the photos I styled for the post:
Thank you Minted for the amazing opportunity!
