Today I am excited to feature a recent logo & branding design project I worked on for the wonderful Michelle White! Michelle is a talented Atlanta based wedding photographer who I met last Fall. I loved her approach and her style – very sophisticated and classy with a touch of glam. She was looking to come up with something totally new for her business, that she could also incorporate into her site and blog. Here is a little bit of the inspiration we pulled from:

Color was very important. Michelle absolutely loves the color yellow and wanted to make sure the logo was warm and sunny. Fashion and elegance were also key points of inspiration. I wanted the logo to feel timeless and sophisticated, two qualities I feel reflect Michelle’s own personal style.

Along with the logo design, I also worked on business cards, a CD template, and as a letterhead that could be printed or used digitally. We went with a lace-like damask pattern to help compliment the logo on the various additional pieces. Along with the above items, I also created 2 new watermarks for Michelle to use.

I had the most amazing time working on this project and cannot wait to see what the future holds for Michelle! If you are in the market for a wedding photographer make sure to check out her website here, as well as her blog here!

Today I am excited to share a collaborative project I got to work on with my oh so talented better half, Jon-Michael Sullivan! Two of our good friends, who had recently gotten engaged, asked about possibly doing engagement photos and save the dates. Of course we jumped at the opportunity to work with them! I even got to tag along for the engagement shoot…which was at a gorgeous venue in Athens, GA. The day of the shoot, it rained all morning and we were all a little hesitant about making the hour drive. But then just as we arrived the rain stopped, the clouds cleared, and JM was able to get some gorgeous shots!

After the engagement shoot Katie and Matt selected their favorite images and we went to work on the Save The Dates! Their wedding will have a rustic-chic feel and they wanted to make sure the cards communicated that. The tire swing at the venue was definitely something they wanted to highlight so it was the photo we went with for the front…which I loved! It was one of my favorites from the session 🙂

We kept the palette simple and used a linen texture for the back. They also loved the idea of a multi-photo card and suggested a photo strip for the back. I love how well it all came together!

Could not be happier for this amazing couple and I am so excited to help them celebrate in the Fall!
