I’m Kristen Smith, a graphic designer and illustrator residing in Augusta, GA. Originally a Florida native, I spent the better part of my childhood finger painting or covered in glitter. When I wasn’t building elaborate designs with legos and pattern blocks, I was kart-wheeling all over the back yard. With encouragement from my parents, I knew at a very young age I wanted to do something creative. I was very fortunate to attend a high school with an extensive range of art courses to help satisfy my desire to build and create. My junior year they offered a brand new course, Graphic Design. I was instantly hooked! From that moment on I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

After high school I attended the University of Georgia, located in Athens, GA (my home away from home!) where I received my BFA in Graphic Design. Since graduation, my work as an in house designer as well as a freelance designer has helped to mold and shape my design style and capabilities. I feel very comfortable taking direction but also directing myself when the occasion arises.

Currently I live in Augusta, GA, with my fianceĀ Jon-Michael and our cats DesmondĀ and Penelope. When I am not designing or sketching, I love crafting! I knit in the winter, sew during the summer, and make jewelry year round! I am also an entertainment junkie and watch entirely too many movies and television shows.

A Little Bit Extra –

– I am addicted to popcorn
– I am afraid of the dark and still sleep with a pink night light
– I will use random obscure holidays as an excuse to sport glitter in my hair
– I am a recovering hoarder of over-sized tacky jewelry
– I am a handstand contest champion
